Design and Development

These are sites I built from the ground up. I designed and coded them myself.

Storylin

This is a site I built in my spare time using Ruby on Rails. It's a social storytelling website where users sign up and write/read/share short stories.
I started this project as an excuse to learn Rails 3, as well as an excuse to use HAML and SCSS in an actual website.

Development

These are sites that I coded using existing graphic artwork. They involve (X)HTML, CSS, javascript, and sometimes server-side programming in PHP or Ruby.

The Well

I developed this site for Sacramento State University's new "Wellness Center." This site is probably the biggest project I've done for the University so far (at least it is the highest profile project). Javascript is used pretty heavily on the site, especially on the front page: the multi-level menu, the Twitter and Flickr content, and the calendar entries are all built on the client side with Javascript. Eventually this site will be ported to our enterprise CMS, but it currently consists mostly of static content.

CSUS Calendar

On this project I worked with an existing website to update styling and add functionality, like the autocomplete search bar. I also developed a mobile (iPhone/Android) web interface for the site.

A static website for the Sacramento State University Union's Games Room, which features video games, pool tables, and such.

A single page website for the Sacramento State University Union's Terminal Lounge, involving an audio player and a modest amount of javascript.

Design

These are sites that I designed the artwork for, in addition to (some of) the coding.

C-Tech Restoration

C Tech Restoration is a carpet restoration company that operates in the Sacramento area. They hired me to design, set up, and maintain (for a while) their website.

I chose Silverstripe to use as a CMS, then I designed and coded this custom theme for it.

I'm no longer maintaining this site.

Talking in Circles

This is a design I made for my personal Wordpress blog. I haven't updated the blog in ages.

After upgrading the Wordpress script I found my design was no longer compatible -- I'll get around to updating it soon.
